OutFilmCT, which is revving up for the 23rd Connecticut Gay and Lesbian Film Festival in May and June, is hosting a screening this weekend to raise money for the fest. Dare is Adam Salky’s drama about a bunch of youths exploring their sexuality and sexual orientation. It stars Ashley Springer, Rooney Mara and Emmy Rossum (Phantom of the Opera), along with Alan Cumming, Ana Gasteyer and Sandra Bernhard. The film, which is 90 minutes long and unrated, will be shown in a one-time-only screening Sunday, April 4, at 5 p.m. at Cinestudio, 300 Summit St., on the campus of Trinity College in Hartford.
